Middle School (Grades 5-8)

Our Middle School curriculum addresses the unique academic, social, and spiritual needs of young adolescents. At this important stage in life, the Middle School program seeks to foster habits of mind and spirit that underlie and support lifelong learning. Teachers and students work together to forge a learning partnership. Whether in a science classroom working to establish a recycling program for the school and church or in a humanities classroom asking questions about the role of individuals in a civic society, our students gain confidence and develop independence as their teachers create an atmosphere of support, encouragement and trust. A rigorous, integrated curriculum, experiential learning methods, and collaborative techniques help create curious, reflective learners who are equipped for high school and the world beyond.
